Privacy Policy
What gets collected on this site, what does not, and how to opt out.
Last updated: August 24, 2026
Introduction
This policy explains what this site collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only, not the retailer platforms our links point to.
Reading the site means you accept the practices described here.
Information We Collect
The site has no account system and no checkout. We do not ask for your name, address or payment details.
If you send a message through the contact form or enter an email address in the newsletter field, that data is transmitted only if a mail handler is configured on the server; the forms on this site are not connected to a database.
Standard server logs may record IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp. Analytics, where enabled, records aggregate page views and traffic sources rather than individuals.
Cookies
A small cookie or local-storage entry remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so the banner does not reappear on every page.
Analytics providers may set their own cookies to count sessions. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them, though the notice will reappear.
Outbound retailer links may set affiliate tracking cookies on the destination site. Those are governed by that platform's own policy.
How Information Is Used
Aggregate traffic data tells us which specifications and questions readers actually look for, so the pages can answer them better.
We do not sell, rent or trade visitor data.
Third-Party Links and Services
This site links to retailer and manufacturer pages and uses third-party fonts and analytics. Each of those services has its own privacy policy, and we have no control over their practices.
Review their policies before submitting information to them.
Data Security
The site is served over HTTPS and stores no customer records, which limits what could be exposed. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and it will be deleted.
Your Choices
You can browse without submitting anything, block cookies in your browser, and use browser-level tracking protection.
To request deletion of anything you sent through the contact form, write to the email address in the footer.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as the site changes. The revision date at the top reflects the current version.
